Baz Luhrmann plans to make a movie adapted from the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, THE GREAT GATSBY, with Ben Affleck cast as Bruce Dern. This movie reportedly will be made in 3D.
From the news reported by Splash News mentioned that Baz Luhrmann is trying to contact Ben Affleck for take part in this drama project. Besides Ben, Baz reportedly also seeking to contact Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire, although not yet clear who will play Jay Gatsby this time.
THE GREAT GATSBY, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald around 1925, has been adapted several times into various formats. In 2000, A & E Cable Network and Granada Productions made television versions of the same story, while in 1999 John Harbison make opera version of this story.
